Amid the growth of Blockbuster Video here in the UK, the Playstation continues to attempt point and click adventures, and I can rent it over and over again to try to make progress! This is like a lovely little travelogue, but with kidnapping and Mayan prophecies.

So while in the real world Newcastle basks in the glow of a first domestic trophy in 70 years, back in 1997 we were thrown out of the Keegan era and beginning a long, slow decline under new manager Kenny Dalglish, but the World Cup was here to distract us!
x-com: apocalypse (pc)
X-Com returns with a LOT more than just an underwater re-skin. Apocalypse might be one of the most ambitious games of the 1990s, with a fully featured, living future city for you to try to defend from those bloody aliens. No, obviously I'm no good at this one either, but it's really good anyway!
star wars jedi knight: dark forces II (pc)
If a game has semi-cringe FMV cutscenes with struggling actors in it, then it doesn't need a lot else to make me love it, but Jedi Knight has a LOT more. Lightsabers in a first person shooter?! Take my money.
